Harding's good looks led GOP bosses to believe he would appeal to women voters, who were voting for the first time in 1920. November 3, 1926 - Raised in poverty and a self-taught child sharp shooter to feed her siblings, Annie Oakley finds fortune and fame thanks to Buffalo Bill. She dies on this day and is buried in Greenville.
